I.Y.S.F.F. Youtube Advertising Contest!

ATTENTION LADY AND GENTLEMAN FILMMAKERS OF THE IYSFF FAMILY (and soon to-be members of the IYSFF family):

Today is the beginning of the Youtube contest!
What does this mean? It means create an Ad for the International Youth Silent Film Festival, of course!

But there's more... It has to be specifically promoting the soon-to-be Australian Film Festival in October!
What you win? Your advertisement will be played all over Youtube in Australia!

Because we want this to be a community engagement activity and get everyone possible involved:

We want you to have fun, most importantly. Throw in all your creative titles, stories, effects, acting, etc.! It'll be a BLAST to see what kind of creations you will all produce.

How this will work:
Winner will be determined by the MOST COMMENTS and SHARES on the Facebook page, and then selected by IYSFF Officials. We will share every video created on the facebook page, twitter, and instagram, telling people to go watch.
The more advertisements the better!

GUIDELINES AND DATES:Begins: 7/15 Ends: 8/5

Your advertisement goes live on the 8th of August, all over YouTube in Australia!

Contest Rules:

- 30 Seconds in length

- Must have Australia Submission Date Written in Titles (Sept. 9, 2013)

- Australia Festival Locations in Titles
 (Adelaide, Capri Theater & Kingston City Hall Moorabbin, Australia)

- Have the IYSFF logo at the end

- Non-Violent

- Mention that it’s the International Youth Silent Film Festival

- Any age up to age 20

- More importantly, Have fun! Get creative!

  1. As a Media Teacher in South Australia these dates do not work very well for my cohort as the closing date (today) is the first day of term 3, meaning I have had no opportunity to promote this competition with my students who are newly enrolled in semester length media classes.

      Thank you for your feedback. We have decided to extend the main Ad competition until August 5th. It is an extra two (2) weeks. After that, there will be themed Ad Competitions that will run one-two (1-2) weeks on YouTube. The themed competition rules and guidelines will be posted on August 5th.
